How do you do MLA documentation of an encyclopedia article?
This is the information I have:
Routledge Encylopedia of Philosophy, general editor Edward Craig, Initial published in 1998 by Routledge, in London and New York, and the section of the encylopedia I got the information from was below “Epistemic Justification”.
Sooo…How do I quote this?

This is the first site I found when I searched for ‘MLA style sheet’ on google:
http://owl. English. Purdue. Edu/owl/resource/557/07/
Scroll down to ‘books with no author’.
The example given is an encyclopedia.
Note: your school should have a handy reference sheet or website on how they want MLA format done, or your professor should give you details. When in doubt, ask them (and Yahoo Answers)!

First of all, do NOT use online MLA cite generators.
They are almost always incorrect.
Secondly, according to the MLA handbook for writers, you cite an encyclopedia article as follows:
Treat an encyclopedia article or a dictionary entry as you would a peice in a collection, but do not cite the editor of the reference work.
If the article is signed, give the author first (often articles in reference books are signed with initials identified elsewhere in the work); if it is unsigned, give the title first.
If the encyclopedia or dictionary arranges articles alphabetically, you may omit volume and page numbers.
An example:
Mohanty, Jitendra M. “Indian Philosophy. ” (underlined) The New Encylopaedia Britannica; Macropaedia. (end underline) 15th ed. 1987.
So, yours would look basically like this:
“Epistemic Justification. ” (underline) Routledge Encylopedia of Philosophy. (end underline) the edition would go here, if you have an edition number. 1998.
